Klippa, from Groningen in the Netherlands, has two products: a document-processing API for developers and SpendControl, expense and invoice software for finance teams. SER Group bought Klippa in 2025, and in March 2026 it rebranded to Doxis. DocHorizon is now Doxis AI.dp and SpendControl is Doxis SpendControl. If you're reviewing the tool after the rebrand, this page compares the invoice side with Invoreg AI.

Facts are as of 7 October 2026, taken from each vendor's public pages. Sources are listed at the end.

What SpendControl invoice processing costs

| Plan | Price | Includes | |---|---|---| | Effective | €95/month | Up to 4,000 invoices a year, 10 users | | Premium | €275/month | Up to 12,000 invoices a year, 30 users | | Custom | Quote | Adds SSO and API |

Add-ons on top of the plan price:

  • Approval workflows: +€50 a month
  • Accounting integrations: from €50 a month
  • ERP integrations: from €100 a month
  • Extra invoices: from €0.28 each

A worked example: 4,000 invoices a year with approvals and an accounting integration. On Effective that's €95 + €50 + €50 = €195 a month, or €2,340 a year. On Invoreg AI the same 4,000 documents are four Medium packs, €1,440 a year. Approvals and the accounting connection are included, plus a one-off setup fee from €199.

Where Invoreg AI fits better

  • You want one price with no add-ons. Approvals, the accounting connection and unlimited users are in the per-document price.
  • You're on Zoho Books, or run many client companies as an accounting firm.
  • You reconcile bank statements against the same invoices. See bank reconciliation.

Where Klippa / Doxis is the better choice

  • You want expense management and company cards in the same tool as invoices.
  • You're a developer who needs a document-processing API across many document types (Doxis AI.dp).
  • You're on Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Xero or QuickBooks today.
  • You want the wider Doxis content-management platform behind it.

How to decide

Write down your yearly invoice count, the number of people who need access, and whether you need approvals. Price both tools on those three numbers, including add-ons. Then book a demo and test your own invoices.
