This page is written by Invoreg, so read it as our view. We've tried to make it useful anyway: each tool gets its price, what it's built for, where it beats us and where we beat it. Competitor facts are as of 7 October 2026 (Zoho Books: 26 September) and come from each vendor's public pages. Each section links to a longer comparison with the full sources. If something has changed, tell us and we'll fix it.

What Invoreg AI is
Invoreg AI reads supplier invoices and bank statements and books them into your accounting software after a person has checked them. It's built for accounting firms and small and mid-sized businesses.
- Every line, read and coded. The header (supplier, VAT number, dates, totals) and every line with its VAT rate. The account for each line is proposed from the company's history with that supplier.
- Duplicates caught against the ledger, not just the inbox. A bill already booked in the accounting software is matched to its upload, so it isn't booked twice.
- Approvals at one, two or three levels, and nothing is posted until someone clicks Register.
- Bank reconciliation. Statements, even PDFs and scans, are read line by line and each payment is matched to the invoices it settles, at the same price per document.
- One queue across every company, for firms running many clients, with a mailbox per company.
- Processed in the EU, never used for training.

Small-business and practice tools
Dext
The best-known name in receipt and invoice capture, formerly Receipt Bank, owned by IRIS since December 2024. The business plan is £290 a year for 250 documents a month and five users. Line items, bank statements and supplier statements are add-ons after a small monthly allowance. Practice plans are priced per client, with a minimum of ten.
Where Dext wins: it publishes to more than 36 accounting systems, has staff expense claims with a mobile app, and has more than a decade of supplier rules behind it.
Where Invoreg AI wins: every line is included rather than an add-on, bank statements cost the same as invoices and are matched to them, you pay per document rather than per client, and processing stays in the EU.

Hubdoc
The capture tool that comes with many Xero plans. It reads the supplier, date and total and publishes the bill with the document attached.
Where Hubdoc wins: if you're on Xero and the header is enough, it's already included in your plan, and our Xero connector isn't live yet.
Where Invoreg AI wins: Hubdoc doesn't extract line items, and Xero has said it isn't planning to. Hubdoc's data is stored in the US. We found no approval workflow in its documentation.

AutoEntry
Owned by Sage since 2019, with a long integration list. Monthly credit plans run from US$13 for 50 credits to US$469 for 2,500. An invoice with line items costs 2 credits, a bank statement 3 credits per page, and unused credits last 90 days.
Where AutoEntry wins: it connects to Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent and Exact today, handles supplier statements and staff expenses with a mobile app, and is very cheap for small, header-only volumes.
Where Invoreg AI wins: one credit per document with every line, a bank statement of up to three pages for one credit, credits that last 12 months, and approvals before anything is booked.

Datamolino
Well reviewed, with multi-stage approvals on every plan and data hosted in Ireland. Business plans start at £17 a month for 100 documents; practice plans go down to £0.16 per document. The listed prices exclude line-item extraction, and unused allowance doesn't roll over.
Where Datamolino wins: for high volumes of header-only invoices it's cheaper per document than we are, it connects to Xero, QuickBooks Online and FreeAgent today, and it bills month to month.
Where Invoreg AI wins: lines are part of the price, PDF bank statements are matched to invoices rather than turned into rows, and prepaid credits suit seasonal volume.
Zoho Books Autoscan
Free inside Zoho Books: 50, 200 or 1,000 scans a month depending on the plan, per organisation, with add-on scans that expire after three months. It reads the header and pre-fills the lines.
Where Autoscan wins: a small practice with a few clients, short invoices and allowances that never run out doesn't need another tool. Keep Autoscan.
Where Invoreg AI wins: one queue across forty client organisations instead of forty inboxes, coding proposed per line from each supplier's history, duplicates checked against bills already booked, up to three approval levels, and credits pooled across every client.
Finance-team suites and document platforms
Rossum
An enterprise document platform for AP teams on SAP, Coupa and other ERPs. Starter is US$18,000 a year with a one-year minimum. Coupa announced in May 2026 that it is acquiring Rossum.
Where Rossum wins: certified SAP and Coupa connectors, many document types with custom validation, and enterprise procurement terms.
Where Invoreg AI wins: at 12,000 documents a year we cost €4,020 in prepaid packs, setup takes days rather than an implementation project, and bank reconciliation is included.
Nanonets
A general AI-agents platform where accounts payable is one workflow. Starter is US$100 a month, plus a charge for every processing step; Nanonets' own example puts an invoice at under $2.
Where Nanonets wins: many document types, workflows you build yourself, and connectors for ERPs and for Xero and QuickBooks today.
Where Invoreg AI wins: a fixed price per document you can quote to a client, EU processing (Nanonets' security policy says data is stored in the USA), and a multi-company queue for firms out of the box.
Klippa / Doxis
From Groningen, bought by SER Group in 2025 and renamed Doxis in March 2026. SpendControl invoice processing starts at €95 a month for up to 4,000 invoices a year and 10 users. Approvals add €50 a month and accounting integrations from €50.
Where Klippa / Doxis wins: expense management and company cards in the same tool, a developer API across many document types, and connectors for Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Xero and QuickBooks.
Where Invoreg AI wins: no add-ons. For 4,000 invoices a year with approvals and an accounting connection, Klippa's Effective plan comes to €2,340 a year; ours is €1,440 in packs, with unlimited users.

Yooz
A French purchase-to-pay suite with more than 7,000 customers: capture, purchase-order matching, approvals, payments and virtual cards. It is a registered e-invoicing platform under France's 2026 mandate. Prices start "from €99", without saying per what.
Where Yooz wins: French companies that need a registered e-invoicing platform, purchase-order matching and supplier payments, and a long ERP integration list.
Where Invoreg AI wins: every price is published, there's less to set up if you need capture, approvals and booking rather than full purchase-to-pay, and PDF bank statements are matched to invoices.
Typing invoices by hand
The most common alternative is no tool at all. A simple invoice takes one to five minutes to key in and a 26-line one twenty to thirty. At €28 an hour, a bookkeeper minute costs about €0.47, so capture pays for itself once it saves about 50 seconds an invoice. Put in your own numbers with the cost calculator, or read how long invoice entry really takes.
Where we're not the right choice
We'd rather you choose the right tool than the wrong one from us.
- You're on Xero, QuickBooks or Sage and need bills posted through the API today. Our native connector is Zoho Books. Xero and QuickBooks Online are planned and Sage is on request; until then we can produce an import file.
- You need staff expense claims, company cards or a mobile receipt app. We don't do expenses.
- You match invoices to purchase orders or pay suppliers from the same tool. We stop at booking and reconciliation.
- You need to send e-invoices under France's mandate. We're not a French registered platform.
- You have huge volumes of one-line invoices. Header-only pricing elsewhere can be cheaper per document.
- You prefer monthly billing. We sell prepaid packs that last a year.
What we can show today
We're a young product, so we won't pad this section with logos. In our pilot workspace, the AI reads a simple invoice in about 37 seconds and a reviewer confirms it in about 11. A 26-line invoice takes about two minutes to check, against twenty to thirty to type. The fairest proof is your own documents: the first 20 invoices are free, so bring some you've already processed elsewhere and compare the results field by field.
Pricing
Credits are bought in packs and last a 12-month credit year. One credit covers one document of up to three pages, invoice or bank statement, with every line included.
| Pack | Documents | Price | Per document |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 250 | €100 | €0.40 |
| Medium | 1,000 | €360 | €0.36 |
| Large | 5,000 | €1,650 | €0.33 |
There's a one-off setup fee: €199 for a single company, or €500 plus €25 per additional company for accounting firms, capped at €1,500. Users are unlimited. Above 20,000 documents a year, we quote. See pricing, or book a demo and bring ten real invoices.
